Location and Natural Environment
Stâna de Vale is one of the most well-known mountain resorts in the Apuseni Mountains, located in the southeastern part of Bihor County, at an altitude of approximately 1100–1130 meters above sea level. The resort is surrounded by coniferous forests, alpine meadows, and numerous mountain springs, and is famous for its clean air and refreshing mountain climate.
The area belongs to the Bihor Mountains massif, forming part of the Apuseni Mountains. It is an excellent starting point for exploring the surrounding karst landscapes, which are rich in caves, waterfalls, gorges, and panoramic mountain viewpoints.
The resort is accessible via well-maintained mountain roads suitable for cars and minibuses.
