General Overview
Bixad (Hungarian: Sepsibükszád) is a picturesque village located in Covasna County, in the southern part of the Eastern Carpathians, along the valley of the Olt River, at the meeting point of the Bodoc Mountains and the Ciomad Massif. The settlement is known for its beautiful natural surroundings, mineral springs, and its proximity to some of the most remarkable natural attractions in Transylvania.
Due to its geographical position, Bixad serves as an excellent starting point for exploring the Mohoș–Saint Anne Nature Reserve, one of the most spectacular protected natural areas in the region.
The village is part of the traditional Székely Land, where local communities continue to preserve authentic customs, religious traditions, and cultural heritage.
