Location Timișoara, known in Hungarian as Temesvár, is the capital of Timiș County and one of the most significant cities in western Romania. Located in the Western Plain, on the banks of the Bega River, Timișoara is 560 km northwest of Bucharest, 300 km east of Belgrade, and 170 km southeast of Budapest. The city is a major road and rail hub, intersected by the A1 motorway and the E70 European route, connecting Romania to Central Europe. Timișoara is also a cultural and economic center of the Banat region, situated at an altitude of 90 meters above sea level, contributing to its mild and pleasant climate. Natural Attractions Timișoara (Temesvár) and its surroundings offer numerous opportunities for nature lovers, thanks to its location in the Western Plain and proximity to the hilly areas of Timiș County. Parcul Rozelor (Rózsapark): Located in the city center, this historic park is renowned for its impressive collection of roses, which bloom in May and June. Spanning 25,000 m², the park is ideal for leisurely walks. The average temperature during this period is 20–25°C, perfect for enjoying the flowers. Parcul Botanic (Botanikus Kert): Just 1 km from the city center, this 9-hectare park hosts a variety of plant species, including exotic trees and medicinal plants.
