Padiș is located in the heart of the Bihor Mountains, part of the Apuseni Mountains in Transylvania, Romania. The plateau is approximately 110 km east of Oradea, reachable by car in around 2 hours, usually passing through Beiuș. The Padiș Plateau has a cool mountain climate:
