Location and Climate
Farkaslaka (in Romanian: Lupeni) is a picturesque village located in the heart of Székely Land, in Harghita County, amidst stunning natural landscapes. The village is approximately 23 km from Odorheiu Secuiesc and 60 km from Miercurea Ciuc, making it easily accessible via National Road 13A or by public transport from Odorheiu Secuiesc.
Altitude: About 525 meters above sea level, providing panoramic views and gently rolling hills.
Climate: Continental, with cold winters and pleasant summers. Average summer temperatures range from 22 to 25 °C, while in winter, temperatures often drop below freezing, averaging between –5 and –10 °C. Precipitation is moderate, and due to the mountainous influence, snow cover tends to last longer in winter.
