Reghin (Hungarian: Szászrégen) is a city located in the heart of Transylvania, in the northern part of Mureș County, approximately 30 kilometers from Târgu Mureș, the county seat. The city lies at the foothills of the Gurghiu Mountains, in the Mureș River valley, surrounded by picturesque natural scenery. It is easily accessible by car via the national road DN15, which connects Târgu Mureș to Borsec, and via DN16 from Cluj-Napoca.
